My name is Jiaxuan Deng, also Jason.I am currently majoring in Business Administration. When I first learned about the Summer Work and Travel Program, my initial thought was how incredible this opportunity would be for a student like me who is eager to grow both personally and professionally.

Talking about myself. My confidence and generosity are reflected in my willingness to embrace challenges. For instance, when it comes to participating in the internship in the United States, even though I have never traveled abroad alone before, I remain optimistic and eager to learn as I look forward to this Summer Work and Travel Program. Additionally, I am open-minded toward others’ perspectives, which enables me to collaborate effectively within a team and improve efficiency. Most importantly, having attended boarding school from a young age, I have developed strong independence and an ability to build social networks. I believe these traits will help me adapt quickly to life and work during the internship in the U.S.

During my time at university, I worked part-time in restaurants and coffee shops. My responsibilities included serving customers, managing inventory, and working as a cashier. Moreover, I have been fortunate enough to gain experience in administrative work and event planning. These experiences have taught me valuable skills in responsibility, teamwork, and business strategies. Most importantly, they have solidified my aspirations in the business field, cultivating a strong work ethic and a wealth of diverse experiences.

Looking ahead, I believe this program will deepen my understanding of cultural diversity and its values. Through this internship, I hope to further discover my abilities, make new friends from around the world, and unleash my English and professional skills.
